Folks from Camp Blue Skies came in to talk about the weekly camp for developmentally disabled adults.
The camps were started by Dick Sesler of Charlotte since this population loses many social and recreational services after age 21. Dick's son, Brent, has William's Syndrome.
There are currently camps in North Carolina and Georgia. A camp will be launched in Ohio next spring. The next scheduled NC camps are in October at YMCA Camp Harrison in Boomer.
