Police: Teen wanted on burglary, firearm charges cut off monitor

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a man they say cut off his electronic monitoring device.

Jakieran Harris, 17, is wanted by the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team for burglary, firearm charges and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

He was out on bond pending trial for felony B&E and firearm charges.

Harris is described as a black male, 5'8" tall, weighing 150 pounds.

Police say he frequents the Grier Town area, and was last seen on the 2700 block of Randolph Road.

Anyone with information on Harris' whereabouts should immediately call the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team at (704)336-VCAT, or call 911.
