Deputies arrest six teens in Denver-area break-ins

The last of six teenager suspects charged with vehicle break-ins in the Denver area was arrested Tuesday.

The teenagers were arrested  in connection with vehicle break-ins that have occurred in eastern Lincoln County recently, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives talked to witnesses about vehicle break-ins that occurred at the Killian Crossing Subdivision, and based on that information began rounding up the teens on Friday.

During the arrests, deputies say they recovered Lincoln County Emergency Management equipment stolen from a vehicle in Catawba County.

Devin Nix, 18, was arrested and charged with one felony count each of Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Possession of Stolen Goods. He was placed under a $5,000 secured bond.

Tyler Tazly Simmons, 16, was charged with three felony counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and one count of Larceny.  He is under a $15,000 secured bond.

Hunter James Blanton, 17, is charged with three felony counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, and one felony count each of Larceny, Possession of Stolen Goods, and Obtaining Property under False Pretense.  His bond was set at $20,000 secured.

Morrissey Isaac Muniz, 17, is charged with three counts of felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, and one count of felony Larceny. He is under a $15,000 secured bond.

Anthony Labrada, 18, is charged with three felony counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and one count of felony Larceny.  He was placed under a $5,000 secured bond.

Kenneth Edward Ryan, 18, of Mooresville, is charged with one felony count each of Possession of Stolen Goods, Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, and Obtaining Property by False Pretenses.  He is also charged with one misdemeanor count of Larceny.  He was released after posting a $10,000 secured bond.

Officials say the investigation is continuing into a number of vehicle break-ins that have occurred in Catawba and Lincoln Counties, including the August 15 break-ins reported in the Mariner's Pointe Circle, Smith Cove Road, and Lake Breeze Lane area.

Detectives are also investigating vehicle break-ins in the Kings Grant subdivision off Highway 150 East of Boger City.

Deputies say that in most cases the vehicles were left unlocked overnight.
