Trinity Road murder suspect turns self in to police

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police say a man wanted in a west Charlotte murder investigating from over the weekend is now in police custody.

Police say 38-year-old Dennis William Graham turned himself in for the murder of Earnest Sean Milton at CMPD headquarters Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to the 9200 block of Trinity Road  near Evanshire Drive at 12:03 a.m. Sunday.

Police saw light on in an apartment out behind a home but no one around, according to the warrant. They could see blood smears on the carpet and a person wrapped in bedding on the floor of the apartment .

Milton, 34, received an apparent gunshot wound just after midnight on Sunday and was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.
