CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

It is an annual tradition that draws tens of thousands of people over the course of several days each year.

100% of the proceeds from the Matthews Alive! Festival go to Matthews area non-profit groups.

There are arts and crafts vendors, food, entertainment and rides.

Matthews Mayor Jim Taylor and former mayor Lee Myers, now a board member, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the remaining two days of fun at this year's festival.
