The monsoon was a force to be reckoned with Friday night in many parts of the valley. One of the areas hardest hit was Apache Junction.
Many streets in the area were reduced to muddy embankments and rivers of flowing water, catching many drivers off guard and keeping tow trucks, law enforcement and first responders very busy.
"I was going to pick up my mom up the street and the car got stuck out of nowhere," Ramon Rogers said after his car got stuck.
Apache Junction saw its fair share of rain and wind, closing down streets, sending power lines to the ground and stalling cars.
