Man on loose after snatching purse at Phoenix grocery store

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police are looking for a man who snatched up a woman's purse as she was loading groceries in her car outside of a Phoenix store.

Silent Witness said on Aug. 7 the suspect grabbed the woman's purse from her shopping cart and ran to a parked car in the Fry's parking lot at 4200 W. Cactus Rd.

The suspect handed the purse to a woman in the passenger seat and the victim followed, managing to get her bag back.

The victim had minor injuries to her hands and wrists from the struggle.

The suspects fled the parking lot in a gray 2002 Nissan Sentra.

The first suspect is described as a 5'7'' to 5'9'' tall Caucasian man between the ages of 18 and 25, and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds.

The passenger in his vehicle is described as a 5'4'' to 5'7'' tall woman weighing 120 to 150 pounds. She's believed to be between the ages of 18 and 25.

    The remains of a Rowan County soldier who vanished during World War II have been found and are being brought home this week for burial in his hometown of Gold Hill, 60 miles northeast of Charlotte.
