SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

Last fall authorities were searching for 44-year-old Gina Peeler Wagner.

Peeler was reported as missing in September of last year.

The Granite Quarry-Faith Police Department said Wagner had last been seen leaving Faith driving a black four-door 2005 Lexus E330.

Relatives told officers at the time that Wagner may be staying in a hotel in the Rowan or Cabarrus county area, or with someone near China Grove.

Wagner had been entered into a national database for missing persons.

Now Wagner is in jail under a $150,000 bond charged with embezzlement from her employer.

According to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, Wagner was an insurance agent in Faith and was mishandling customer payments.

The case was investigated by the North Carolina Department of Insurance.

Wagner was located, charged, and booked into the jail Wednesday night just after 9 p.m.
