Charlotte Pride Parade in uptown Sunday

Charlotte PRIDE 2013: Large crowds a sign of change?

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte Pride, the Queen City's annual lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Pride celebration, will hold its festival on Sunday about 12 p.m.

The event is a free and held in Uptown Charlotte in the PNC Bank Festival Zone, located on S. Tryon St., between Third and Stonewall.

The Bank of America Charlotte Pride Parade will be held on Tryon St. at 1 p.m.

About 3:45 p.m. Mayor Patsy Kinsey will make some remarks.
