CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say the 10-year-old boy at the center of an Amber Alert was found safe.

Investigators say Symiir Speaks was found with his mother in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Police in Fayetteville told WBTV's affiliate no one has been taken into custody.

An Amber Alert was issued for Symiir Sunday. He disappeared around 6:00 p.m. from Bird Watch Lane in northwest Charlotte. His father told WBTV Symiir was outside playing with friends and they were about to play air hockey in the garage when a van pulled up and "snatched him".

Azzam Pendleton told WBTV Symiir's sister witnessed the event and was able to provide police with a description of the van. He didn't know if Symiir knew who was inside the van or if it was a stranger.

Pendleton told WBTV he has full custody of his son.
