ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

Police in Rock Hill say Walmart employee is facing charges after she embezzled more than $10,000 from the store.

According to a Rock Hill Police report, officers were called to the Walmart along the 2300 block of Dave Lyle Boulevard in late July.

When officers arrived, the loss prevention manager told officers that another loss prevention manager was stealing from the store.

He told officers that he'd been conducting an internal investigation and determined that 33-year-old Andrea Rodgers had embezzled $10,142.81 from the store.

Rodgers reportedly created fake refunds and put the money on a prepaid MasterCard that she owned.

The manager gave video evidence to investigators who later issued a warrant for her arrest.

She was detained by police in Monroe on Monday and extradited back to Rock Hill where she is being held.
