COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) -

The chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party sent potential fundraising donors an email on Tuesday referring to the Internal Revenue Service as President Obama's "Gestapo."

The email, distributed by SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore, states, "South Carolina Republicans are fighting on so many fronts and need your help.  We're working to defund ObamaCare, grow South Carolina's economy, expose and abolish the IRS, and get answers on the cover-up in Benghazi."

The top of the email reads, "IRS Obama's Gestapo" in bold red and black text.

The infamous Gestapo acted as the official secret police of Nazi Germany during the reign of Adolf Hitler.

  • She said: It's time for Panthers to invest in secondary, starting in 2018 NFL draft

    Saturday, April 21 2018 1:24 PM EDT2018-04-21 17:24:58 GMT

Here's a revolutionary thought: The Carolina Panthers should invest in their secondary. And not with mid- to late-round picks or development projects, either. On April 26, the first night of the 2018 NFL Draft, Carolina should take a defensive back at No. 24. A day-one starter. A leader.
