Experienced North Rowan set for change in 2013

Spencer, NC (WBTV) - It is year 2 for head coach Joe Nixon at North Rowan and the Cavaliers will be making the transition from 1A to 2A this season.

Don't feel bad for the Cavs as they have plenty of talent to compete in the Central Carolina Conference, because 30 lettermen are back.

On offense, QB Alexis Archie is back for this junior season. He will be helped out by the return of running back Jareke Chambers and wide receiver Sakil Harrison.  Both of who were all conference last season.

The defense will have 8 starters back led by linebacker Xavier Robinson.  He was all state in 2012. The secondary will be boosted by the return of defensive backs Mike Robinson and Kasaun Coney.  Coney was also the Rowan County special teams player of the year.

With all of this talent, the Cavs should be in the running for the conference title. Their final 2 games at Thomasville and host Salisbury could very well decide the champion.
