Ariel Castro takes plea deal, gets life in prison

The man accused of kidnapping three women and holding them captive in his Cleveland home for years has withdrawn his not guilty plea and taken a plea deal.

The deal is life without parole, not less than 1000 years, in exchange for no death penalty.

Castro was faced with a 977-count indictment, including rape, kidnapping and aggravated murder stemming from the death of an unborn child by one of the victims.
