HICKORY, NC (WBTV) -

Police say they have located two sisters that were reported missing Thursday morning in Hickory.

The two sisters that went missing from the Hickory area around 10:45 a.m. showed up at their mother's place of employment Thursday afternoon, according to the Hickory Police Deparment.

Tori Rieffel, 9, and Lena Rieffel, 8, were last seen this morning in the area of Viewmont Elementary School, which is on 16th Avenue NW, before they showed up at their mother's office.

The mother works at an eye clinic in Hickory. A woman spotted the children walking down the street and stopped because they looked scared.

The girls were able to tell the woman where their mother works and the woman took them to the eye clinic.

They had left the house to take some recycables to the container, police say, and then wandered around and got lost playing.

No foul play is suspected.
