Wilkinson is expected to open at 5 p.m. and Mount Holly-Huntersville Road later Friday evening.
There are signed detours for motorists around both closures:
Wilkinson Boulevard: Eastbound traffic will be detoured from Wilkinson Boulevard to Old Dowd Road to Sam Wilson Road back to Wilkinson Boulevard;
Mount Holly-Huntersville Road: Traffic will be detoured from Mount Holly-Huntersville Road to Hambright Road to McCoy Road to Beatties Ford Road back to Mount Holly-Huntersville Road
Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and not attempt to drive around barricades for their safety.
