Police: Man arrested after vehicle, house shot

ALBEMARLE, NC (WBTV) -

Police have arrested a man after an investigation into a shooting where a vehicle and a home were struck, according to the Albemarle Police Department.

The incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on July 8, on E. Oakwood Avenue in Albemarle when residents reported hearing several gunshots.

Officers found that a vehicle was shot at while traveling on E. Oakwood Ave., and that a home had been hit as well.

After investigating, detectives arrested Mitchell Bernard Bordeaux, 20, and charged him with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, possession of firearm by felon, and discharging a firearm while in the city limits of Albemarle.

Bordeaux received a $75,000 secured bond and has a court date scheduled for July 29, at 9:30 a.m. at the Stanly County Courthouse.

Police say the investigation continues, and that additional arrests are predicted in the near future.
