Police looking for man wanted in Walmart armed robbery

Police in Lancaster are looking for a third person they say robbed a man after posting a fake car ad on Craigslist.

The incident was reported on July 8th at 11:25 a.m. in the Walmart parking lot on the Highway 805 bypass west, according to the news release from the Lancaster Police Department.

Upon arrival, the victim said that he was robbed at gunpoint by two unknown black males.

He told police that the robbers took a large amount of cash, his wallet, keys and two GPS systems before fleeing on foot.

He was also able to give a basic clothing description and last known direction of travel.

Further investigation revealed that the victim had been communicating with someone in reference to a vehicle posted for sale on Craigslist.

The victim had agreed to meet the seller at the location to deliver a down payment on the vehicle.

The Craigslist ad was an apparent set up.

The Lancaster Police Department responded in force and began an extensive investigation into this incident.

As a result of that investigation, three suspects have been identified.

The first of those suspects, Malcolm Shaquille Williams, 18 of Rock Hill, was arrested July 9th for the offenses of Armed Robbery and Possession of a Handgun during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

On July 11th, Jequavis Tyanthony Clyburn, 26, of Lancaster was also arrested for the offense of Armed Robbery.

Clyburn was taken into custody at a residence off of Old Blackmon Lane, in Lancaster.

Investigation into this incident continues.

Letarvis Donrell Truesdale, is the third suspect in this case.

The Lancaster Police Department currently holds a warrant against Truesdale for the Offense of Armed Robbery.
