If confidence was a woman, her name would be Jada Wellman.
She has been a production guru at WBTV for 11 years. Jada works behind the scenes doing everything from directing shows to running studio cameras.
When she's not here at WBTV, she's almost always at the gym.
"She's got a lot of shear grit and determination," said Jada's trainer Jonathan Logan Logan runs Live Fit Health Club in Belmont. 4 weeks ago Jada came to him and said she wanted to try her hand at power lifting.
"During her assessment she bench pressed 135 and dead lifted 250 pounds which is unheard of," said Logan.
Just a month later, at a sanctioned power lifting event Jada pulled 305 pounds off the ground like it was nothing.
"I was like, 'Oh my God that was like 30 extra pounds from what I did before'." said Jada.
Jada broke a national record for her weight and age class.
"I don't' know it was just freaking awesome. Maybe it was like something another chapter in my life or something I accomplished. Because I was like, 'who knew I was going to power lift? I had thought about it"
Jada's trainer says her success is directly linked to her attitude, which is rooted in firmly in one belief.
"Just be confident and trust in yourself and know that, you are somebody and something special," said Jada.
