CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) - The sister of a man who died from a gunshot wound in Concord over the weekend says her brother was running away from three men.
Monique Price says she awoke from a nap to news of Mario Douglas' death Saturday afternoon.
Price tells WBTV Douglas got a call to meet someone outside a store across from Alberta Court. She says Douglas ended up being confronted and attacked by three men. When her brother ran, she says he was shot in the back.
Price says detectives have several leads but no one has been arrested. She hopes that changes very soon.
"I'm just trying to put my hope in the justice system that they gonna get somebody because this didn't have to be. Over something so crazy that somebody life get taken away," Price said.
Police say the shooting was domestic-related. She says Douglas and the mother of one of his children got into an argument the night before the shooting.
We're told Mario Douglas was a father of two children, ages five and 11.
