CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - One of you guys called us a couple months ago to report good, unused food being thrown away inside 7-Eleven stores.
The tipster said she knew food at various convenience and grocery stores got tossed, but she remembered 7-Eleven's CEO telling the nation in an episode of "Undercover Boss" how he was going to stop that practice.
He said he wanted the food to go to the hungry.
We investigated. Armed with an undercover camera, we went into multiple stores in Mecklenburg and Union Counties.
