Deputies: 2 teens arrested for break-ins

Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies arrested two teens in connection with a weekend home break-in.

Sunday night, deputies were dispatched to a home on Delling Downs Drive when neighbors saw two teens break into the home through a bathroom window. The teens then ran from the scene into a wooded area nearby, the report states.

Deputies arrived, cordoned off the crime scene, and began searching the wooded area for the burglars.  During the search, they found several items that had been stolen from the home.

They also interviewed witnesses, which led to a mobile home on Grainger Trail in Denver.

There, detectives arrested Dylan Emmett Scott, 17, and charged him with one felony count each of breaking and entering a building, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.

He was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center and placed under a $10,000 secured bond.

A 15-year-old juvenile turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday, and will be charged under a juvenile petition. He is being held in the Gaston Juvenile Detention Center in Dallas.

Scott was also served warrants for the September 18, break-ins at several tents at the Rock Springs Campground. He was charged with felony breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering for one tent, and was served misdemeanor warrants for breaking into three others.

He was given an additional $10,000 secured bond for the tent break-ins.
