The economy seems so good in Rock Hill that two business partners came out of retirement to continue to do what they love.
Brenda Mobley and Tessie Baldwin opened Tropical Sunrise on Herlong Avenue three weeks ago after being retired only six months.
The business partners owned several restaurants before retiring. The two say they were getting bored sitting at home and missed their customers, so they decided to open the new business.
They have a word of advice for aspiring business owners.
"You have to work together as a team. Like a baseball team, everyone knows their position. You have to have good service, good attitude, be positive and help each other," said Tropical Sunrise owner Brenda Mobley.
The two have more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant business and have no plans of retiring again in the near future.
