LAKE NORMAN, NC (WBTV) - Officials at Lake Norman Marine Commission are urging the public to take extra precaution when boating on Saturday.
The high water on Lake Norman and other lakes in the Catawba/Wateree river basins are causing floating debris according to officials.
LNMC discourages dusk to dawn boating due to debris. They believe it could be dangerous.
Officials want to remind boaters that they are responsible for the wakes they create and the damage those wakes may cause.
LNMC says boat wakes during periods of high water can damage docks, piers, seawalls and moored water craft.
WBTV will keep you updated on the flooding conditions of the above mentioned areas.
