Recipe: Two types of gelato

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The staff from Bar Cocoa at The Ritz Uptown visited WBTV News Saturday Morning to show us how to make the recipes that follow:

Honey Pecan Gelato with a Drizzle of Bourbon Honey


Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato with a Drizzle of Raspberry Sauce

Honey Pecan Ice Cream

Egg yolks    5 each

Sugar     ¾ cup

Whole milk     2 ¼ cup

Heavy Cream    1 cup

Vanilla Bean    1 each

Honey ¼ cup

Raspberry Sauce

2 cups fresh raspberries cooked  and blended ¼ cup sugar

1 vanilla bean

2 tablespoons cornstarch diluted in water

Bring everything to a boil , stir in cornstarch and bring to a second rolling boil.

Chocolate Hazelnut Ice Cream

¾ cup milk

½ cup heavy cream

1 each vanilla bean

8 oz sugar

10 egg yolks

8 oz dark chocolate chopped
