Reds game postponed due to weather

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Thursday's game against the San Francisco Giants at Great American Ball Park has been postponed due to a forecast of steady rain throughout the remainder of the day.

The game has not yet been rescheduled.

"Unfortunately, the breaks in the weather we expected over the next few hours don't appear to be happening for us," said Reds Chief Operating Officer Phil Castellini. "As much as we were hoping to play, we're not hopeful that we can complete a game with the current forecast. We apologize for the delay and cancellation, but we felt it was in the best interest of both teams, because of the rescheduling conflict, to wait as long as we reasonably could."

Fans should keep their tickets. Their tickets are their rain checks for the game that will be rescheduled. Rain checks also can be exchanged at face value for any Monday through Thursday 2013 regular-season home game, excluding August 6 and subject to availability.

Reds officials say if fans ordered tickets online at reds.com or over the phone through Ticketmaster, they can contact Ticketmaster customer service at 1-800-745-3000 to exchange tickets.

The game originally was scheduled to begin at 1:10 p.m. ET.

  • She said: It's time for Panthers to invest in secondary, starting in 2018 NFL draft

    Saturday, April 21 2018 1:24 PM EDT2018-04-21 17:24:58 GMT

Here's a revolutionary thought: The Carolina Panthers should invest in their secondary. And not with mid- to late-round picks or development projects, either. On April 26, the first night of the 2018 NFL Draft, Carolina should take a defensive back at No. 24. A day-one starter. A leader.
