Two stabbed in Adrian Monday morning

Two people were stabbed in Adrian, Michigan early Monday morning. Adrian police say they have yet to make an arrest and are not releasing the names of any suspects.

According to Lenawee County 911 Dispatchers, it happened around 3:30 a.m., on the 1200 block of S. Main Street.

Deputies tell WTOL 11, the incident began as a fight between 10 to 12 people. One man was stabbed in the back and abdomen. Another man was stabbed in the arm.

Neighbors say they were able to see it all happen.

"There were people screaming, people throwing bottles, just having confrontation with one another," said neighbor Teneshia Losey.

Many living in the neighborhood say they were shocked this happened so close to home.

"The fact that this is going on in an apartment building right across from me. My kids live here. It terrifies me," said Alyssa Hosler.  

Both victims were taken to Toledo area hospitals. The victim stabbed multiple times had to be life-flighted to the hospital for treatment, according to authorities on the scene.

An update on their conditions have not yet been released.

A large area for the crime scene is roped off. Deputies say they have secured an apartment in the area for investigation.

Several people have been questioned, but no arrests have been made as of yet. The police have now identified a suspect, but the individual has not yet been arrested.

The reason for the fight is still under investigation.
