The simple, and yet sometimes complex sport is kind of a mix between soccer and hockey.
Teams playing in the Catawba Classic Lacrosse Tournament got to show off their skills at the Stateline Soccer Complex in Fort Mill. The event hosts about 6,000 people and 67 teams from across the southeast every year. Organizer Stephen Crutchfield says the sport has seen a 47% increase in the number of players. His goal is to attract more interest in Lacrosse in Rock Hill and Fort Mill.
The money raised from this weekend's tournament will High School lacrosse supports in the Rock Hill area.
