Deputies in Alexander County say they arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting last week in Catawba County where a man collapsed and died in front of a home.
According to the Alexander County Sheriff's Office, deputies located and arrested 35-year-old Richard Patrick Connor on Friday.
Deputies say they found Connor at a home on Moore Road in Stony Point without incident. He was transported to the Catawba County jail and charged with Felony Conspiracy. He's being held on a $200,000 bond.
Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid says Connor was arrested in connection with a murder from last week on Edna Street near the town of Catawba.
Reid says 33-year-old Jerrod Mason was fatally shot and collapsed in the front yard on Monday afternoon.
On Thursday, 28-year-old Alysia Rachell Wilson was arrested and charged with murder and Felony Conspiracy. She's being held in the Catawba County Jail under a $127,500 bond.
Witnesses told investigators that they heard Mason arguing with another person. That's when the neighbors heard shots being fired. Mason was seen running across his front yard before he collapsed. He died at the scene.
Wilson was picked up by investigators at her Little Mountain Road around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday without incident, Sheriff Reid told WBTV.
Wilson and Mason knew each other, but investigators aren't saying what lead to the shooting.
