According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers were called to the 7200 block of Point Lake Drive around 3 p.m. Sunday to the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Danny Barrino suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

That man was later identified as 47-year-old Phillip Robert Scott Jr. Officer obtained murder warrants on Scott on Monday morning.
He was later located by CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and arrested without incident .
Officers say this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
"I don't know the reason, but he's gone over something stupid," said Trude Allen, Barrino's mother. "I can't get my son back, I can't get my son back."
During the investigation, detectives believed Scott was inside an apartment on the property and at that time the SWAT Team was requested. The SWAT Team cleared the apartment around 9 p.m. Sunday night and Scott was not located at the time.
