Taking some of the unnecessary pressure off competitive sports

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Summer is the perfect time for children to get involved in team sports.  It is a healthy way to pass the time until they go back to school.

While the emphasis is supposed to be on fun, sometimes parents and kids get caught up in the perfect game, the biggest win and forget why they're really there.

Dr. Kevin Burke is the Dean of the Blair College of Health at Queens University of Charlotte.

He offered advice to parents and to children about taking the pressure off the field when playing competitive sports this summer.
