SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

A man is in the Rowan County jail under a bond of $1,000,000, charged with attacking a man and a woman at what the sheriff describes as a local "adult establishment."

According to the report, Barry Dean Bledsoe, 50, approached the woman and man as they were leaving Nichole's at 6245 S. Main Street. Investigators say the alleged victims were employees of the club.

Bledsoe pulled a 9mm handgun on the victims, then forced them back into the building. Once inside, Bledsoe allegedly robbed both victims and pointed the gun at them, and held the woman around the waist while during the robbery.

According to the report, Bledsoe also tried to take the female victim back into the woods behind the business, but left after a struggle.

Once the crime was reported, a description of Bledsoe and the car he was driving was given out to local police. A Salisbury police officer saw the car, a 1995 Lexus ES 300, driving on Highway 29 near Jake Alexander Boulevard. The officer stopped the car and noted that the driver appeared "very nervous."

The gun, along with the money and property taken from the woman was all found inside the car.

Barry Dean Bledsoe, 50, was booked into the detention center just after 2:15 Friday morning. Charges include two counts of kidnapping, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault on a female, carrying a concealed weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Bledsoe's criminal record includes a conviction for armed robbery and first degree burglary in 1985. He served six years in prison on that conviction.
