A Perrsyburg woman has admitted she embezzled nearly $100,000 from youth organizations over the past two years.
Kiki Lorann pleaded guilty to four counts of grand theft and three counts of theft in Wood County Common Pleas Court Friday. Lorann was a volunteer with the Perrysburg Elementary Parents Association, Toth Parent Club, Perrysburg String Baseball, and several other sports teams. She handled the finances for the organizations.
Last May, other members took a closer look at their accounts and realized the numbers weren't adding up.
Lorann could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison when she faces a judge again on July 16, but some Perrysburg residents say paying the money back would be the right thing to do.
"I mean, that's really what would serve justice to me," said Laura Williams. "But that's probably not going to happen, unfortunately."
