MOORE, OK (RNN) – In one of the few positive stories to come from the deadly tornadoes in Oklahoma, an elderly woman was reunited with a four-legged friend she thought was dead.

Barbara Garcia, a resident of the same neighborhood for 45 years, frantically called for her dog after the tornado had leveled her house.

"I was sitting on the stool, holding my dog; this was the game plan through the years to go in that little bathroom," Garcia said.

Garcia said she felt the bathroom stool come up out of the floor. She called for her dog, but it never answered.

She was walking over what was once her house during an interview with CBS News reporter Anna Werner. That's when someone from the news crew noticed a figure moving around beneath the rubble.

Within seconds, she was moved to tears after an unexpected reunion.

"Well I thought God just answered one prayer to let me be OK, but he answered both of them."
