Police trying to ID man in armed credit union robbery

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Robbery Unit and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man involved in the armed robbery of a credit union.

Tuesday, just before 11 a.m., a black male armed with a handgun entered the Latino Credit Union on Milton Road. The man then demanded money from the teller and, upon receiving the money, left the scene in a burgundy colored Chevrolet Malibu.

The robber is described as late 20's to early 30's, 6'2" in height, thin build, wearing a dark knit hat, yellow bandana, camouflage jacket, dark pants, and dark tennis shoes.
