Police trying to ID duo that used stolen credit cards

Gastonia Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two people caught on surveillance video they say used credit cards that were stolen from a woman.

On April 9, a Gastonia woman had her wallet stolen while she was shopping at a Gastonia grocery store. Within one hour police say her stolen credit cards were used at various businesses in Gastonia. Two people were captured on surveillance video.

The duo is described as a white female with brown hair and glasses, and a black male with short black hair or a shaved head.

The woman was dressed in a brown or tan sweater set and blue pants. The man was dressed in black pants, a black jacket with a white T-shirt underneath, and white tennis shoes.

They were seen leaving in a newer model full size white SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective David Wind at 704-836-0071, or Crime Stoppers of Gaston County at 704-861-8000. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
