PD: Man fires round at victim in Mesa business

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Police are looking for a man they say fired a round at a person inside a Mesa business.

Mesa police said the suspect walked into the business at 2168 W. Main St. on April 15 and spoke to the victim before firing one round and fleeing.

The suspect is described as a 36- to 37-year-old black man who's approximately 6'3'' and 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a black shirt, a black baseball-style hat and a red doo rag.

    Mecklenburg County Manager Dena Diorio released her proposed $1.7 billion budget Tuesday morning before a packed chamber. It is $25 million more than last year’s budget.  It also includes a property tax increase of three-fourths of a cent. This means for a single family home worth $250,000, a homeowner will pay $18.75 more a year or $1.50 more a month.

    Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a missing 9-year-old. Police say Antoine Taylor was last seen in the area of the 2700 block of South Boulevard. Taylor is described as a black male, approximately 50 pounds, 4' 5" tall with a low haircut. He was last seen wearing glasses, a navy collared shirt, khaki pants and gray new balance sneakers with a white stripe.
