Police: Two pizza delivery drivers robbed in past 48 hours

Police in Charlotte are investigating two separate pizza delivery man robberies that occurred within the past two days.

Both incidents involved people delivery drivers for Papa John's franchises in Charlotte, according to the reports.

The first incident occurred on the 1000 block of Dedmon Drive at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday.

The 19-year-old delivery driver told police that four people robbed him of his keys, cell phone and pizza, according to the report.

They left on foot into the park at the intersection of Lightspun Lane and Dedmon Drive.

One of them had a gun.

The second incident occurred on the 8000 block of Andover Creek Drive at 9 p.m. Tuesday night, according to the report.

The 18-year-old driver told police that the person was armed and ordered him to the ground next to his delivery vehicle.

The person stole money and ran away on foot, according to the report.

The investigation is ongoing.
