At 9 months old, Eli Hager had both of his legs amputated at the knee. A birth defect meant he was born with no tibia bone in his lower legs.
But he's never let this obstacle get in his way. Especially on the golf course.
"One thing I always tell people is, can't is not an option," said Hager.
At 14, he's already a standout on the Lincoln Charter School's golf team. But his goals are set much higher. "My ultimate goal is to play in the Grand Slams of golf. Hopefully win them but at least play in them," said Hager.
He's no stranger to determination. This summer, Eli is going to Milan, Italy as part of a U.S. team of disabled water skiers. When he's not practicing his swing, he's on the lake taking on the waves.
Eli says he doesn't accept defeat and from his golf game you can see, he won't accept anything less than the best.
