Interstate 475 westbound is back open at Talmadge Road after a multiple-vehicle accident shut down the roadway Friday morning.
A five-vehicle accident shut down the westbound lanes between Talmadge and U.S. Route 23 for a couple hours. A semi truck was involved with four other vehicles.
"A black Chevy Suburban came up and struck one vehicle, pushed that vehicle under a commercial vehicle, then the Chevy Suburban continued on and struck a second vehicle, and pushed that vehicle into a fourth vehicle," said Lt. William Bower with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
In total, seven people were in the crash. Two people were sent to the hospital and currently one person is in critical condition.
