Charlotte, NC (WBTV) – The Lady Knights of Ardrey Kell High School are the defending state champs in golf. Co-captain, Emily Stinson, helped the team to the title, and now she's joining the pros for the 2013 Symetra Classic.

The tournament takes place on May 6th through the 11th at Raintree Country Club in South Charlotte. It is the second consecutive year the Raintree course will be used. The Symetra Classic is a stop on the Symetra Tour- Road to the LPGA, with a mission of preparing the world's best young female professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA.

This will be Stinson's first time playing in a professional event. As well as being part of the state champion team, she is the reigning Charlotte Metro Junior Girls champion and currently ranked by the Carolinas Golf Association as the number 9 junior girls golfer. Stinson has accepted a scholarship offer to attend Appalachian State University in the fall of 2013.
