The Green team beat the White team 26-3 in the Charlotte 49ers first ever spring football game, but this day was about more than just a final score.
This was Niners Nation first chance to see the team on the field at the new McColl-Richardson field and they showed up in big numbers. 13,950 fans were in the house as the stadium holds 15 thousand.
The first touchdown came via a pass. It was Matt Johnson to Austin Duke.
The next time fans will get the chance to cheer on the Niners will be August 31st when the 49ers host Campbell for the programs inaugural football game.
