CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Traffic is backed up close to eight miles on I-85 south due residual delays caused by a tractor trailer crash.
The wreck involving two tractor trailers forced police to close two of three lanes on I-85 South at Exit 46, Mallard Creek Road around 3:30 a.m.
Police have since cleared the scene. However, WBTV First Alert Traffic reporter Tonya Rivens reports traffic is still stop and go up to George Liles Parkway, exit 54 in Kannapolis.
The road was reopened by 8 a.m.
