See, Click, Fix: Apartment leaves behind unsightly water leak repair

The picture sent to our See, Click, Fix inbox is worth a thousand words. Imagine having to live next to this!

"(The sinkhole is) less than 10 feet from where the residents get their mail," says the anonymous viewer didn't want their name or real voice made public. This resident tipped us off to this problem in the parking lot of Maple Run Apartments on Canterwood Drive in Charlotte.

The tenant says this hole has been dug up, surrounded by orange cones and caution tape since the latter part of 2012, and wants us to get answers from the apartments on getting this fixed before someone gets hurt!

"(The hole) is less than 30 feet away from where a Saturday morning sidewalk Sunday school activity occurs for the young children...and anyone even an older person...uh... could by misfortune get hurt at this hole," the viewer says.

So what's going on here?

The manager revealed to See, Click, Fix there was a water leak here and before they patch this up they want to make sure the repairs they made worked.

We continued to probe for answers as to when the hole will be patched. She says they're waiting on equipment to come in but couldn't give me a specific date on when that is.

After investigating further we found out Maple Run Apartments is affiliated with Townes at University Pointe in Charlotte.

These apartments have an F-rating with the Better Business Bureau for failure to respond to complaints.

We have since left a message with the apartment's regional manager.
