New photos released of wanted bank robber


Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man they believe to be responsible for a bank robbery in Mecklenburg County.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department tells WBTV the Fifth Third Bank at 124 S. Main Street near Davidson was robbed at 11:55 a.m. on Monday.

Police are searching for a white male in his mid 40's with a slender build and an approximate height of 5'8.5" to 5'10".

He was wearing a dark blue hoodie and dark blue/black baseball cap with a large logo on the front and white striping around the bill up to the center of the cap.

Officials say he fled north on Main Street by foot.

Anyone who can identify the subject or who has information about the robbery is asked to call the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131.
