OAK HARBOR, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man is facing several charges after showing up to his former workplace with weapons Thursday.

When deputies received the uncommon call, it only took two minutes for them to arrive on scene. Upon arrival, they say they found Kyle Kovac, 20, of Fremont, armed and dressed for battle.

Ottawa County dispatch received two calls from frightened workers at Northern Manufacturing in Oak Harbor, when they got a surprise visit from a former colleague. In one of the calls, an employee says after looking in Kovac's car, he found a gun on the passenger's seat.

"He was clothed in a camo BDU-type uniform. BDUs are the battle dress uniforms. He was dressed in that, and he also had a military-style knife on him," said Sheriff Steve Levorchick.

Levorchick says Kovac also had a large hunting knife, but that was not the only thing he was packing.

"He also had an airsoft weapon, which looks like a pistol, and it also had on it - at the time - it looked like a stainless steel cylinder on, screwed to the barrel of the pistol, to make it look like a suppressor, like a silencer," said Levorchick.

As crews from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and Carroll Township Police Department rushed to the scene, their minds were racing, as well.

"With everything in the world today, and all of the incidents that we see in the news, obviously every scenario possible is running through your mind, and you're trying to plan what your response is going to be," explained Levorchick.

When crews arrived, they came with guns drawn and arrested Kovac without issue. No one was harmed in the incident.

"You still have to prepare for someone who could - at any time - change their tone. And if they're dressed tactically, you would think they would do that for a reason," said Levorchick.

That reason is still under investigation.

Kovac is jail facing several charges, including aggravated menacing.
