Police looking for man who robbed, assaulted victim pumping gas

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two men involved in an armed robbery and assault at a local gas station.

The robbery happened on Thursday, April 4, at the Shell Gas Station on Albemarle Road.

Police say a victim was pumping gas when he was approached by a man with a gun demanding money. After taking the victim's money, the robber then struck him in the face with the gun.

The man is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, slim build, wearing a red hoodie with dark lettering, baseball hat. He had on light blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. He also had gold teeth, and was armed with a handgun.

A second man was also seen. He is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 to 30 years of age, black jacket with brown lining, a black hat (possibly "NY" on it with a sticker on the bill), blue jeans, necklace, white undershirt, and light facial hair.

Both men left the scene in a white, 2005 style Chevrolet Trailblazer with aftermarket rims.

Both men and the vehicle were captured on video by security cameras.

Anyone with further information concerning these robberies is asked to call the Crimestoppers tip-line at 704-334-1600, or visit http://charlottecrimestoppers.com.
