Two wanted in connection with string of Harris Teeter shoplifting incidents

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte are looking for two people they say are involved in a string of robberies at several south Charlotte Harris Teeter grocery stores.

Christopher Harris is wanted in connection to three shoplifting incidents at three separate Harris Teeters, according to the reports from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Harris walked into the Harris Teeter at 16045 Johnston Rd. around 11 p.m. on Feb. 9 and took several shaving razors and cartridges without paying.

On Feb. 23, police say Harris walked into the Harris Teeter at The Arboretum around 12:58 a.m. and took Rogaine, Goody's headache powder, Aleve, more razor blades and Prilosec, according to the report.

The report says the Harris had an accomplice in the Arboretum shoplifting incident.

Tonya Wilson concealed some of the merchandise in her handbag and walked with Harris past all the checkout points without paying.

The third and latest incident was reported on March 5th at 10:23 p.m. at the Harris Teeter at Lancaster Highway and Ardrey Kell Road.

The report says Harris walked into the store and took more shaving razors, over the counter medications and cosmetics.

He again walked out of the store without paying.

Harris and Wilson have not been arrested and police are actively looking for them.

Total value of the merchandise taken from all three stores was estimated at $1,502.15, according to the report.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 704-334-1600.
