Alive After Five returns to Uptown; first show canceled by weather

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

With warm weather slowly moving back to the Carolinas, Alive After Five is returning to Uptown.

It's dubbed the city's largest weekly happy hour and free entertainment celebration and it happens every Thursday at 5 p.m. during the summer months.

But in a twist of irony, the kickoff show tonight for the celebration's 12th season was canceled due to inclement weather.

The first show of the season is now scheduled for April 11, but according to the Alive After Five Facebook page, you can still celebrate tonight at Blackfinn.

For the month of April, you'll find the party at the Wells Fargo Plaza each week.

Then from May 2 - September 26, the celebration shifts to the Bud Light Pavilion at EPICENTRE.
