TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

On Sunday afternoon, Toledo police responded to a home in the 1300 block of Page for a report of a missing elderly man. Police say the missing man is Millard Williams and no one has seen him since 4 p.m. Sunday. Another problem is he has a history of mental issues.

His roommate, Neil Turner, said Williams left the house about 20 minutes before police arrived. Turner also told police that Williams and he got into an argument Sunday and then Williams left the house upset. Still, Turner said Williams never leaves the house and has never done this before, which is why he called police.

Williams has dementia and has a hard time walking. He has a white beard and may have a foul body odor. He was reportedly wearing dark blue pants and a dark shirt at the time.

Turner said there are several abandoned houses in the neighborhood, but doesn't think Williams would be hiding out in any of them.

"Because of the cold, I don't think he'd be able to, because of his age and his intelligence, his IQ now, you know, his mind - I don't think he'd be willing to go into one of those places," Turner said. "So I figure he's in one of the rescue crisis centers on Collingwood, or St. Paul, or something like that."

Witnesses from a store on Mulberry and Page said Williams had stopped in the store around 10 a.m. Neighbors also said he is often out walking up and down Stickney.

An initial search by police was unsuccessful.

Anyone with more information on the whereabouts of Millard Williams should call police immediately.
